through your web site. I think you and Mark should sing some more

Hi Mrs. Lowry: Thank you for the opportunity to sign your
guest book. Your ministry of song, "Look for Me" on Mark's "But Seriously"
cassette has been a comfort. My husband of 31 years was diagnosed
with leukemia in September 2000. After being sick for seven months
he died March 29, 2001. During this time our precious Lord, Jesus
Christ, carried us both. When I am really hurting, I cry and find
comfort in knowing that my husband is in Heaven. God gives us people
to love and cherish for what seems like a short time. One of the last
things I told my husband was that to him it would be only seconds
and I would be with him again. I was blessed in late February to find
the Gaither's ministry on my cable stations. "Mark Lowry on Broadway"
was the taping I saw. I ordered the video and cassette, and I see
something different every time I watch it. I especially love when
Mark honors you and his Dad. His eyes sparkle when he talks about
you both. The film at the end when the credits are running is great
(I haven't seen the names yet). Now that I have found your website
I plan to get to one of your speaking engagements. Thank you for your
ministry. Your Sister in Christ,

Dear Bev: I am a speaker listed on Melissa's directory. Today
while checking some things out on her website, I took a little extra
time to visit your site as well. I just wanted to thank you for being
a wonderful Christian Mother and Grandmother - an example for us all
to follow. I come from a line of strong Christian Mothers and Grandmothers
myself. I never want to take for granted the blessing of being raised
in a Christian home with parents who love me. Do you know the difference
in a praying grandmother and a pit bull? Lipstick! :-) Now that I
am a grandmother as well, I can really relate to that statement, and
I thought you might as well. Ha!

Dear Mrs. Lowry, I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy
your website. I came across it when I was in Mark's website. You both
have such a wonderful ministry going. Keep up the good work. Also,
count me as one of your son's many fans. I really do enjoy his singing
and his comedy. Wish him luck for me on the next leg of his career.
He and Bill Gaither had a really good comedy act going together. Any
chance that you and/or Mark may be coming to the Portland, Oregon--Vancouver,
Washington area within the next year or so? Would love to see both
of you. I was unable to attend either one of Bill Gaither's concerts
the last two times that he was here. Many Hugs, Miss Denice Calhoun

Dear Bev, great job on the Broadway video. Although I am new
to Mark's music and videos, I was really blown away by his genuine
admiration for you... you are obviously an awesome mom! :) I just
love Mark's voice and zaniness. I also greatly appreciate the fact
that although he, too, is in his 40's and still single, he has a strong
and effective ministry. There really aren't a lot of men like that
around nowadays! :) Very refreshing! Blessings on you and your ministry!

Dear Mrs Lowry, I'm a widow with 7 children. We are all great
fans of your son. I just found this site tonight. I have spent the
last hour or so on it, and I think it is great. You are a remarkable
women. If I can raise my children to be good Godly Christians like
you it will be a blessing. I don't have any that are A.D.D. (thank
the Lord) But raising children on your own can be a little scary.
I'm glad there are women like you out there to encourage us and make
us laugh when times get tough. May God continue to bless your ministry.
By the way my 4yr. old little girl was wondering if you would be in
Lancaster PA. with Mark. She has a question to ask you. I told her
you wouldn't be there. I know she was really disappointed. She loves
"Mark Lowry on Broadway" She rewinds your song all the time on tape
we have. She will pick to watch the video over her kids video. Oh
ya, one more thing I can be a screamer too.

Mrs. Lowry, I have heard Mark talk about you so much, I feel
as if I already know you. I would like for you to know how much I
enjoyed the duet you and Mark sang on his "Broadway" video. In all
the skits I've heard, I couldn't remember him saying you sang or wrote
songs. I loved "I Thirst", and so did my family. We had to order the
accompaniment track for it. I can see from your bio that you are a
very gifted person. From your singing, song writing, all the accomplishments
to many to tell, and yes, even Mark. I know he acts crazy, which he
is, but he is a true Christian, and very devout in his beliefs. I
know you and your husband raised all your children that way, and I
know you are very proud of all of them. Our prayers are with you and
your family, and we ask that you remember our family in your prayers,

Dear Bev, We've "talked" before, but we wanted to tell you
how great you looked (and sounded) on T.V. (Mark Lowry on Broadway).
However, we were really upset when they cut your song short when they
took a commercial break. As a matter of fact, I was ordering tapes
of the show and was talking to Bob in Mark's office. I told him we
were disappointed in the editing. Not only did they cut you short,
but, in general, the transitions going to and coming back from commercials
were not very smooth. We realize from going from seeing the Homecoming
Friends concert, to seeing them on T.V., you lose quite a bit of music,
and most of the banter and talking between the songs. Apparently,
you don't travel with them (Friends), but if you ever get back to
the New Jersey/New York/Pennsylvania area, WE'LL BE THERE!

Dear Beverly, I've just visited your web and all I can say
is WOW! From the time you were a pregnant mother of a "hyper-active"
(not really) third grader, I can truly say "YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY!"
Yes, it's "Ole Lady Hollan", Mark's third grade teacher---not the
one with long, sharp fingernails (thank goodness!), but the one with
"soft fluffy hands" and "ten years older than God". I'm at Dena's
since I'm not on internet but it appears so interesting I may have
to make some changes to my computer. One of my brothers and my sister
tell me I'm really slipping, but I just want to do too many other
things. Since we've been living in the country in Hempstead we do
lots of volunteer work---churches, home mission work, etc. Since our
oldest grandaughter, Amanda, is president of 4-H club and FFA at school
we also help them a lot. She'll graduate in May, but our son's two
children will be coming right up, so I don't suppose we can retire
again anytime soon! We just had a new grandbaby, Brooke Kay, born
February 1. This makes Bevin and Debbie's second. Their son is four
and will be in kdgn. next year at the Christian School here in town
where I'm on the board of directors. I babysit both children for them
so you know what I'm doing with my free time! Bevin is building a
home next door which is great because Blake is very active and will
need the entire thirty acres! Often Blake will pull a shenanigan and
Bevin will say "Mother, I didn't do things like that, did I?" All
I can say is "Payback time!" Then he says, "Well, I hope he's not
hyperactive like Mark Lowry!" I remind him that if Blake does half
as well as Mark Lowry we can praise the Lord! Tell the rest of the
family hello for me, and may God continue to bless you as He blesses
others thru your ministry! Sincerely,
Ramona Hollan

Bev, Last Wednesday night our pastor asked me to have the
nine ladies from our church to individually speak and share our thoughts
with the congregation about our cruise. After the preliminaries he
turned the rest of the service over to us and I wish I had taped it
so I could have sent you a copy. It was spiritually rewarding as each
lady shared her testimony. Every lady, including myself, shared something
from your sessions. There were tears, laughter and the pastor said
to me after the service, "Bev Lowry gave each one of our ladies a
lasting impression." I didn't realize some of their intermost hurts
and how God worked through you to help our ladies in their every day
experiences of life. You have the motherly effect and down to earth
about you that really touched their hearts. I just want to say thanks
for letting God work through you to help all ladies on the cruise.

days going? So, we decided to stop the roll of time and send you this
note to say thank-you. It was our pleasure to have you and Charles
as our guest. (Charles, as you were well aware, you were not supposed
to pay for your dinner. We will pay you back...when you least expect
it, and it won't be in bananas!) :) Looking forward to seeing you
again. May the year 2001 be filled to overflowing with God's blessings
for you and your family. Walking towards His light,

I was rambling through the Remarkable site and found your
web site. I admire a family who has served the Lord, faithfully, for
so many years. The reward that you will receive one day will be overwhelming.
To know, that you can lay it down at Jesus' feet for all He's done
for you will be a joy you've never experienced. If only, I'd been
so faithful. I pray for God's continued blessing on you and your family.
I only visit TRBC on occasion, and much to my surprise, when viewing
some of your clips, was the one of you and Mark on one of the days
I was in attendance. That was a day I shall always remember. It is
a desire of mine to attend one of those Women's Conferences. I'm usually
working, and can't get away. I'll keep listening to WRVL to learn
of the dates for the next one.

I just learned about your site from someone else. Thanks for
sharing about your projects and your perspective on the web. I saw
you on Swanberg and was a little surprised at first to see what a
"normal" person you are! The Lord truly gave you and your husband
wisdom in raising a son like Mark. He's crazy, but he is such an incredible
blessing to so many people. That hyperness has turned out to be a
real advantage so he can do more than most of us! And what a great
experience for you to draw from, especially withthe other two children,
as you teach and counsel. I think you also must have a lot of energy,
perhaps Spirit-given, to lead the hectic schedule you do. God continue
to bless and use you and all your family!!

Mrs. Lowry, I have purchased all of Mark's tapes and have
thoroughly enjoyed your duet with him. I also enjoy your parenting
skills! They have brought me such joy and laughter because I see myself
when listening to how you dealt with your active family. My son Joshua
is alot like Mark was. Thank you for allowing me to see a brighter
side of all of this. The stories make me smile.

Dear Bev: Just wanted to say how sorry I am to here about
baby Will. I understand because we just went through a similar situation.
My sister gave birth 2 months early and little Cooper experienced
the same difficulties as Will. Fortunately, because he was not born
as early as Will, Cooper survived after 58 days in the NICU and surgery
to place a shunt in his head. Please send my condolences to your family
and God Bless You.

Dear Mrs. Lowry: I just wanted to thank you for being a woman
of encouragement. Whether you remember or not, but you met my son
and I at the Family Fest 2000. You told my son Robert that he looked
like Mark, and had asked if he was hyper also. He told you no, but
I told you yes. Anyhow, he has told me and numerous others that you
thought he looked like Mark. It has encouraged him, and all I can
say is God is soooooooooo Good. Thank you again Trish King Cortland,

Mrs. Lowry, Let me just say "thank you" for sharing pieces
of your life with me. I am a mother of two (a 4 year old daughter
and a 17 month old son). It is such a daily struggle to raise children
today in a Christian manner, especially when you are doing so alone.
I pray every morning that God will give me the wisdom and patience
needed to be a good mother. After reading the testimonies of your
children, I can only hope that my children one day can say the same
of me. The pictures you displayed in the galleries, to me, tell a
story of a wonderful, loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
Your family is very fortunate to have such a Christ-like example so
close to home in their lives. I will be joining your e-mail list and
if you are ever in Indianapolis for anything, I will definately be

I have lived in a small town all 13years of my life but in
a town close by, I happened to walk into a Christian Book Store. Since
I am a real comedy fan, I was in the comic/singer section. On that
day my life was changed.I took home a Mark Lowry cd and experienced
the most hilarious ministry that I have ever heard.Throughout his
routines He mentioned you and I became curious. And as soon as I recieved
the internet I went to Mark's website to see if there was anything
about his family. There was! So I immediately went to your site.I didn't
write anything then but I wish that I had.I have never had the privilege
of hearing you sing.My friends and I would love for you to come to
southern Alabama and preform.Bring Mark too.I would love to hear the
both of you sing.I have realized while wathing Mark on tv that he
has been blessed with a wonderful mother, and so have I.He has brought
my family closer together.Your whole family is such a great influence
and I would like to meet the people who have shapped Mark into who
he is today. If you are ever in Alabama, drop by our small town of
Dozier. We would love to have you.

Hi Bev, I just wanted to say Hi. I have been following Mark
for years. What a blessing he has been to me and my family. We just
love him. And oh he loves his Mama. You have raised such a wonderful
person in him. The love you have for Jesus has made Mark a living
testimony in itself. The Vocal Band wouldnt be the same without him.

Mom Lowry,I have seen you with Mark on a few occasions. You
are a sweetheart. I want to commend you for doing such a wonderful
job with Mark. He is a blessing to all of us and it is obvious, he
loves his mama. This world just would not be the same without Mark
in it. May God bless the works of your hands and I am so glad to see
you have your own site. I have always wanted to know about the mama
Mark always talks so highly of. He is right about you, the Jesus in
you shines thru to all of us. I have been listening to Mark for many
years and, of course lots of laughs where ever he is. Again, I will
be visiting this site often to get to know you better. I ask God to
poor his Holy Spirit upon you and your life. Jesus loves you and so
do we. In Christ, Jackie

Dear Bev, Thank you so much for your son, Mark, both my husband
and I love him. We were both saved a little over 3 years ago. We are
very active in our church. I have such a sense of humor, it sometimes
scares my Pastor. It is so nice to hear Mark. He's funny, yet sensitive.
He's just great. Keep me in your prayers as my son was diagnosed with
ADD last year at age 7. He is soooo loving, but it is hard, especially
on his dad. God Bless You !!!! Deb

I would like to say thank you for who and what God has made
in you. I saw you in houston at a ladies retreat 2 years ago. at that
time you talked of being a stay at home mom and the importance of
it. Being there for your kids at all times. Well I have to admit hat
I never saw that happing in our home due to the debt that we had.
But it it did. Between your tapes and a series of messages that our
Pastor gave on families and the role of a mother. My husband asked
me to quit and we would put our problems of money on Gods shoulders.
I have been a stay at home mom for over a year now. I LOVE IT!!! My
kids not only see me at home but I am in their school and their church
I pray that I am being the role model that they need in there lives.
And I just want to say thank you again I put your tape int he tape
player when I am aving a bad day and I have lended to a friend or
two that have been thinking of quiting their job. Keep up the good
work for the LORD and like you have sung with Mark I will look for
you when I get to heaven. God Bless you and your family. Love Ya,

you are a wonderful example of a mother: and God Bless You
for all the patience you must have with Mark's constant teasing MY
parents were a lot like you and your husband in raising children.
When we were kids we had to pick out our switches to be spanked. If
it did not look right we got the belt. I never could decide which
is worse so I as a parent my husband and I let our children decide,
they don't get a choice anymore . But if you don't raise them right
especially in this evil world today , I fear for them as they get
older, but I know our God will look after them, for all 3 have been
saved and baptized. They are still typical siblings one hour they
love and get along and the next there is world thompson war. We for
the most part let them settle their differences but if they hit each
other and cause harm we stop them and we win. They all usually get
punished in some way. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK! I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE

Dear Mrs. Lowry, Just a note to let you know how much Mark
has done in my life. I saw him at the Pittsburgh East Full Gospel
Church on March 9, 2000. It was a wonderful show, especially since
this was the first time that I had seen him in person. He did his
comedy act in the first half and talked more about God in the second
half. He prayed with us and asked that if there was anyone there that
night who hadn't asked Jesus to come into their heart to pray with
him. I prayed that prayer with him with all my heart and asked Jesus
to come into my life. He said I was a new member in the family. Well,
since I don't know much about the Bible, I guess you could say that
I'm brand new, and I have a lot to learn. I'm thanking God every day
that I found Mark on the Gaither Homecoming shows. He has shown me
the way to God, and my family and I just LOVE his work.

My son has ADHD. He is nine years old. His name is Joseph. He is a
Christian on fire for the Lord as is his 7 year old sister Sarah,
and myself (his dad) and his mom (Christine). When he discovered Mark
Lowry, this changed our families life for the better. God gave us
hope through your son Mark. I tried to contact Mark on the internet,
but I cant find his proper web page. My wife and I disagree on how
much ritalin to give Joseph. The doctor has him on 1 timed released
6 hour tablet daily, while in school. And when he gets home at 3pm,
if he is not given the 4 hour dose to hold him over until bed time,
he and I (his dad) clash because I am ADD. My wife wants to cut back
on the medication for Joseph. He was diagnosed last fall of 1999 and
has been on the medication since then. But not constantly. I want
him to take it every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. His
pediatrician said to give him breaks from it espically during the
summer. My Psychiatrist which is in charge of my dosage said that
it wont hurt him to take his pills regularly like that. But my wife
is going by the Pediatrician. Your imperfect son - Mark whom I and
the family loves dearly, said in one his videos: "I have been on ritalin
most of my childhood life." And he said that you gave him the pill
every day even before bed. Is this so? Would you please tell me how
often Mark took his Ritalin and till what age and if it had any adverse
effects on him? My son has to take a high blood pressure pill to fall
asleep about 1/2 hour before he goes to bed to help him sleep. The
pediatrician said that he cant get addicted to it since it is not
a sleeping pill. This pill only lowers his blood pressure enough to
sleep. What do you think of that. Since Joseph has been on the pill,
he rarely gets in trouble in schoo, and is a streight "A" student.
He is highly intelligent and is in 3rd grade. He feels life is worth
living now. He has great self esteem. He loves Jesus and I dont want
him to lose any of this. This summer will be the best vacation we
ever had. He will be on the pill and I cant wait. Every vacation past,
we had to discipline him constantly. Poor Sarah holds her ears when
my wife and I argue over this issue. Im concerned for her. She is
my little princess. Chris and I love them both dearly. I met my wife
at Liberty University. Mark never knew me, but he worked at LBC while
Chris and I were in the Bible Institute there. We were there from
fall of 1983 to graduation in May of 1985. We hope to meet Mark and
or you some day before the rapture. God Bless. Love in Christ, Mike

You and Mr. Lowry did a great job!! Mark has been such
a blessing to me over the past 10 years, during the end of an increasingly
abusive marriage (emotionally, spiritually, and at times verbally).
Anyway, I am a pastor's kid, and his tape about your looks etc. from
the front,up to the "shelf" were all too similar to a story I,ve never
lived down, about being told, from the pulpit, to "Simmer down!",
Well I,ve got to close, but many songs and stories helped keep my
mind on the truth. Love to you and Mark Sylvia

Hey, Bev! Just a note to let you know what a blessing Mark's
NY concert was. Our prayers were answered, and the concert went so
smoothly. Everyone sang and spoke beautifully, and what a wonderful
song you sang with Mark. I really had a wonderful time. Mark is so
special, and I wish everyone could see past his silliness, and see
that genuine love for God so evident in his eyes and personality.
There's so much more to Mark than just comedy. What sweet words he
spoke at the end. I know they touched me and my family. Well, can't
wait to buy the video...the camera guy must have taped my row 20 times,
and I was at the end of the row. EEK! :) Can't wait to see how rediculous

Had the privilege of hearing you this past weekend at the
Women's Retreat at Shocco Springs. You were just wonderful and I enjoyed
it thoroughly. I was one of 15 ladies from our church that attended
and the retreat was the topic of conversation yesterday at church.
God Bless you and thank you so much for sharing.

Bev .... just read that Mark took "Mama to Broadway"; gave
you roses and you walked the runway just like a Queen. What do they
mean, "just like a Queen"? YOU are the Queen of Queens and will always
deserve the royal treatment. Our ladies in Asheboro, NC are still
talking about you. Many of them regret they didn't purchase more of
your tapes. Sounds like a repeat visit to me.

Mrs. Lowry, I had the opportunity to meet Mark this past
Thursday night at Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. If he had
the time, and if he had been willing, I could have talked to him all
night. I enjoyed the concert so much; however, I hated to see it end.
I hope one day our paths will cross so that I will have the chance
to thank you and Mr. Lowry in person for bringing up a fine example
of a Christian. I know he jokes about his family a lot, but he does
it in such a manner that those listening to Mark begin to feel they
know all of you on a personal basis. May God richly bless you and
keep you safe in His loving arms.

Just found your web site tonight. Enjoyed as I do Marks.
I wanted to comment on all your girls having the name Gayle or Gail.
My mother's maiden name was Gayler. She came up with the name Gaylene
for me as a middle name. My daughter's middle name is Gaylene and
my 7 year old granddaughter's name is Savannah Gaylene. My sister's
name is Gayle so we also have a history of "like" names. It is really
neat. Wish I could attend a seminar of yours some day. I'm from Tulsa
area. Will be seeing Mark on Fri. nite--this week. Never miss a concert.
I have been on 2 cruises with him and Gaithers. I appreciate his newsletters
so much on all the homecoming people. I know you must be so "proud"
of your family and praising God for them. God bless you and your family.

Bev, What a nice family you have. I can see why Mark has
such confidence and has allowed himself to become successful. I can
see you supported him emotionally 100% as a child. I'm not Catholic,

I look forward to seeing Mark in a presentation if he ever comes to

Dear Mrs. Lowry, I just wanted to say thank you so much
for not giving up on Mark. I love it when he said you stood up to
your neighbor and told her God was going to use him greatly someday.
I like it that you said that to him on a daily basis too. I grew up

Unlike Mark i haven't quite figured out how it is God is going to

Hello Mark's Dear Mother: First of all, let me confess, I'm shocked!!
They way that Mark talks about his dear old mother, I had invisioned
all along a dear "OLD" mother, slighty jolly & huggable, with silver
hair. I go to your web site and Lord have Mercy!! You are a beautiful
blonde, very young & vibrant, and I all of a sudden have to re-focus
on my pre-concieved notion of the "mama" Mark talks about!!!! It's
funny how we put a face with a person we've never seen. After confessing
that, now let me tell you, your son is such a blessing. It is so refreshing
to see a brother in Christ who "beams with Jesus" and has a heart
for Jesus like I do. It hard to find people the same age as Mark and
myself who are like we are. I am the manager of Baptist Inn Retirement
Center in Stockbridge, GA. The Center has been here for 18 years and
we give a home to 170 retired people, giving them an atmosphere of
Christian love. We watch the Gaither Videos every Wednesday night
here at Baptist Inn. It is such a ministry to my folks here. Mark
will never know the happiness he brings the lives of my folks here,
as well as to me. My life is totally sold out for Jesus and my ministry
is with the elderly...and I love it! I attend the same church I was
reared in for 41 years. Being in the center of God's will is the meaning
of life to me. I understand so vividly the things I see in Mark's
heart. You've done well in bringing up this fine man. You've done
well indeed. God Bless You, Bonnie L. Little Hampton, GA USA - Tuesday,

Hello Mrs. Lowery, Just wanted to say I have really enjoyed
your web site. Mark has been such a blessing to me. I have a nephew
with ADHD. He is 17 and in the 9th grade. School is a real struggle
for him. My 23 year old brother committed suicide on 6/18/99. My nephew
and my son who is also 17 were very close to him. My brother was paranoid
schizophrenic, suffered from bipolar disorder, alcoholism, and was
a victim of sexual abuse. Just found out about that the summer of
'98. My dad was a Baptist minister so it was a real shock to find
out about Scottie having been abused not by one, but two of his "friends".
You would have thought he was one of the most loved and protected
children on the face of the earth. I plan to write a book about his
life. Please pray for me and my family. Scottie found my dad dead
from a heart attack a few days after he turned 15. He never got over
it. I hope my book will help others. That is where I feel my healing
will come from. I am concerned for my nephew, as he seems to suffer
from a low self esteem like my brother did. His name is Wade. Please
pray for him. May God richly bless you and your family in your future
endeavors. In His Service, Susan Rudd

Dear Bev, I'm glad you profess in psychology because Hollie
likes psychological matters and discussions. In fact, the last time
we were all together, she gave us a big speech about the correct way
to dicipline children. None of us have any, so I'm not sure why she
felt like she needed to waste all of our time on such an irrelevant
subject. J/K We really like you. I hope you like us too. We're going
to buy the bus the Nelons have for sale and go on the road. So get
ready- some day we'll be your role models. Kinda like Markael is for
us. Don't you think that's just great? Some day we will marry Markael.
You can sing at the weddings, ok? Unless you're feeling too emotional.
(By the way, Markael is two people whose names we have combined.(kinda
like "Jogus" on Gone Fishin')) Bet you can't guess who they are. Here's
a hint- only one is your son, and both of them were in GVB together
at one time. And it was the same time, too. And Terry Franklin was
in it at the same time one time together too also. And neither of
them are Bill or Terry. So, that only leaves one. Besides your son,
of course. Bye!!!!!!!!!

I have enjoyed Mark's performances and talents for a long
time. In fact, his humor on the various Homecoming CDs helped me get
through 6-1/2 weeks of radiation after surgery for a brain tumor.
They told me to bring in my favorite CDs and they would play them
while I got my treatment. So the Homecoming family really helped --
and many days toward the last I would listen over and over to Mark's
comedic contributions as a way of getting ready for the treatments.
It is easy to see from your site where Mark got his talent and where
he learned to honor and love the Lord. God bless you in your many
ministry endeavors. You will be in my prayers.

When I signed up for a psychology class with you in 1990,
I had no idea who you were. In fact, I did not know who Mark Lowry
was. I was a fan of you long before I knew who Mark was. Mark is ok,
but you are, (and have been since that class) one of my mentors. I'm
not the smartest person in the world, but I'm smart enough to know
wisdom when I see it. My desire is for my daughter to be exactly like
my wife because my wife shares the same beliefs that you do. You are
a great example to women and men and a great lady. God bless you.

I had a front row seat at the Gaither Concert in Tallahasse
Florida in Nov. 99, and could not have been more pleased with the
entire event. Mark is a WONDER to behold, and I relate as I have 2
ADHD children, one 22 yrs, and the other 10 years. During a time when
my family experienced many devastating loses, death of my father,
niece who was 9, and 4 others this year, I had to get myself "up"
to endure the pain and struggle, so the morning of the last funeral
I attended, I was sitting in the parking lot of the funeral home listening
to one of Mark's tapes, and was just cackling at the antics!!!! If
anyone had been watching me they would have sworn I was NUTS or losing
my mind. He is a wonder asset to this worlds christian community,
and I tell everyone about him and the Gaithers, and what a blessing
they miss if they don't see or hear their material, and watch the
sincerity poor out of them all. You can only be a proud momma to have
been blessed with such a son. That's the way I feel about my 2, and
your right, hyperactive children a special!!!!! Thank you and God
Bless, Lucy

Mrs. Lowry, I just want to thank you for the blessings
that I have received because you taught your son, Mark, right. My
father was not a Christian, even after many attempts by many belivers
to "show him the light". After I shared one of Mark's videos with
him, he asked if there was more... and after the second video, he
was weeping and accepted the Lord! Praise GOD! I know that Mark would
not have been such a devout Christian and inspiration if it were not
for you and Mr. Lowry. God Bless you and your family at this joyful

WORRY ABOUT WITH Y2K BUG. By Karen Boutet 10. The bible will still
have all the answers. 9. Prayer will still work. 8.The Holy Spirit
will still move. 7. God will still inhabit praise. 6. There will still
be anointed preaching. 5. There will still be the singing of praises.
4. God will still pour out blessings on his people. 3. There will
be room at the cross for his children. 2. Jesus loves you! And the
number 1 reason you will not have to worry about Y2K bug, 1. Jesus

Hi Mrs.Lowry...Found your website while cruising around
in Mark's. You must be very proud of Him and the way he's been open
to be used of God. I saw him in person this year when the Gaither

was. It's amazing to see Mark go from the crazy, hyper guy to the sensitive,

Hi Bev: I am a special education teacher in Memphis, TN.
I have mildly retarded, learning disabled, and emotionally disturbed
students. Many of these students are ADHD. Some of them are on medication,
and some of them are not. It is so beneficial to hear ideas from mothers
who have raised ADHD children. So many of my students do not have
a mom like your children or I had. They take no interest in the school,
and only come around when they have a complaint. If you have any suggestions
that I might use with these children, please let me know. I feel very
blessed that God led me to a career in special education. I look forward
to hearing any suggestions you might have. Sincerely, Pamela White

Dear Mrs. Lowry: I have certainly enjoyed your wed site
and hope to see and hear you in person some day. I have enjoyed your
singing and hope you and Mark make another tape soon. Working as a
nurse in a skilled nursing facility {nursing home} I have been told
by so many people that I have the most depressing job in the world.
Sometimes I have to agree. My patients have rangee from 15 to 96 years
old. People think nursing homes are for old people, but not anymore.
Sometimes I do get down and I listen to Mark's tapes and the Gaithers
Homecoming tapes while I do my paperwork. It can lift me up in no
time. I do have a great opportunity to witness for Christ. I try to
be the nurse that makes a difference in my patients lifes and their

Hello Mrs. Lowry, I have enjoyed your web site so very
much. It has been a pleasure to visit with you on your site. It is
obvious that Mark takes after his mother. As a Praise & Worship Singer/Performer
myself, I have a great appreciation for your talents.......and Marks
too! Let me share a quick story with you..........The first time I
met Mark was totally by accident. I was recording in Brentwood TN
and after the day's session was done, my husband David, daugher Melissa
and I stopped into Harris Teeter on our way back to the hotel. As
we wheeled our cart around the store, we turned a corner and almost
ran into, (literally), you son, Mark. In a state of shock, I said,
"YOUR MARK LOWRY!", to which he replied...."I AM?". He was so very
gracious to us. He spent about 10 minutes of his personal time to
speak with me about my music, his web site, prayer, and so on. His
Christian up-bringing is so wonderfully apparent........you, your
husband and God did a terrific job with Mark. In my travels around
the country with my concert appearances, I certainly hope that I will
have the good fortune to meet you one of these days. Until then.......

several students in my class that are ADD/ADDHD. I have difficulty
trying to push my top students to a higher level while trying to bring
my attention deficit students to the level that expresses their full
potential. I try to find a creative way to let them express their
emotons and their strenghts. I get to know what they like to do and
try to center their learning around their creative outlets and incorporate
it into their learning styles. I would LOVE to get any tips you might
have on dealing with this. Raising a child like Mark is challenging,
but I have four of them in my class. Any tips or teaching strategies
you or Mark my have are more than welcome. I look forward to hearing
from you or Mark. Thanks for setting an example I can follow not only
in my life but in the lives of my students. Sincerely, Shannon Jones

I have a 12 yr.old with ADD/ADHD he loves Mark's jokes and we love
to hear him sing. Jamey, our son loves to draw cartoons and has avid
imagination. He does okay at school but has problems with concepts
he has a tudor to help him to get those things he was distacted from,
but he has been a pill as I guess Mark was, I had it, and still do
but it helps to be this way, sometimes. If you could send my son an
email @ comet@sun-spot.com encouraging him to hang in there it would
help, he feels no one understands him, and all his friends, don't
have the same interest as him, he is right now very upset about this.

The all day women's retreat at Judson College was wonderful with
you as the main speaker. Ladies if you read this please take note.
If you are looking for an inspirational speaker for a retreat....look
no further. Bev Lowry presents a practical biblical application for
living a Christian life. She would be great for a men's retreat.

Hello Mrs. Lowry, Thank you for sending Mark into our familys hearts.
We have enjoyed him for years and just saw him for the first time
in person last evening at South Bend Indiana with the Gaithers. What
a joy to have a double date with my grandson and his girlfriend and
hearing him say, "Just wait until you see Mark Lowry, he's awesome".
Mark is such and inspiration to the younger set as well as us oldsters.
God had a plan when He let your husband only "half-kill him" in his
early years. God Bless you all.

Thank you so much for giving us laughter through Mark. We took
our daughter to see me in Traverse City Michigan last night for her
7th birthday present ...and what a gift. Next to Jesus ...Mark is
the best gift to our family. We have a son with Cerebral Palsy and
for all of us it has been hard..but for Libby our daughter she has
always been a ray of sunshine of our many dark days. And through Mark
we have learned many things and have laughed as a family. I hope to
hear you one day if you are ever in the area or better yet maybe I
will just have to put a retreat together so you'll come. Thanks again
for being an example for me to keep pressing on even when you are
at your wits end. One day in Heaven our son will be able to walk talk

Mrs. Lowry, I heard about your website from Mark. I enjoy your
website. Let me tell you how God used your son Mark in my own life.
On April 2, 1997, I had been in A spiritual depression for about 2
yr I started renting Marks videos from the christian bookstore here
in town, I hadn,t heard of him before except a few times on the Gaither
specials. The Lord led me to his videos, I accepted Jesus into my
life when I was 7 yrs. old, I am almost 38 now, but even though I
had done that at 7 yrs. old the church I had attended as a child,
taught that you could lose your salvation, so I was filled with a
spirit of fear. On Mark,s videos, MY FIRST COMEDY VIDEO, he talked
about how you cannot go by feelings when it comes to your salvation.
On THE LAST WORD VIDEO, he talked about the neighbor who told you,
I HOPE THAT CHILD ISNT LIKE MARK, and you told her ONE DAY GOD IS
GOING TO USE MARK. Mark was telling me that God wants to use you to,
God doesnt make junk! He has a special plan for your life to. He didnt
know he was talking to me, but he was! I prayed the sinners prayer
with him, and God set me free from that awful spirit of fear and doubt
that the enemy had me bound with, and God used Mark, I found out a
week later that the GVB. was going to be in Bangor ME. on June 5,
1997! I was so excited! I got to meet Mark in person and let him know
how God had used him to bring me back to himself, and to thank him
for allowing God to use him and his gifts and talents. I hesitantly
asked him if he would mind if I gave him a hug? I didnt want to embarass
or scare him. He said he wouldnt mind, so I gave him one. I told him
to keep up the good work. I also went to one of his solo concerts
last year August 4, 1998, what a blessing that was to see and talk
to him again in Old Orchard ME. I would like to say, THANKS TO YOU
AND YOUR HUSBAND FOR RAISING UP A WONDERFUL MAN OF GOD LIKE YOUR SON
MARK, AND LETTING HIM KNOW AT ALL TIMES THAT GOD WAS GOING TO USE
HIM ONE DAY! AND ENCOURAGING HIM THAT HE WAS LOVED AND NO MATTER HOW
MANY NOTES HE BROUGHT HOME, THAT HE WAS LOVED VERY MUCH AND SPECIAL.
May God continue to bless your ministry Mrs. Lowry and your sons ministry
as well. I love him dearly in the Lord. Take care and God bless you
richly. Love in Christ, Rose Seward

Mrs. Lowry - I've been a fan of Mark's for a long time. My brother
(a Baptist minister and Asst Admin at Timberline Baptist Encampment
in Lindale, TX) introduced me to Mark thru his videos. They are so
funny - I think of him in the same league as Dr. Bill Cosby because
both of their humor is really funny and doesn't make you laugh because
you're embarrassed. I also enjoy his singing and catch the GVB on
TV as often as I can. I didn't know about your work but while spending
time on Mark's site - I decided to 'check into' the wonderful woman

It has been a pleasure to visit your Site - any woman who has a
son like Mark better have a link to her web site!! As an ADHD person,
I think it's a blessing to see that parents of such children don't
go insane - they seem to be able to laugh at life easier! I'm in my
late 30's and don't even drive a car, yet - so it's been encouraging
to see how the Lord brought you through college: from taking courses
- to teaching them!- we easily forget that the Lord is greater than
the cares of life. God Bless!!!

Do you remember KING'S DRUG STORE, in Houston, next to Berean Baptist
Church. I am Sharon King ,now Sharon Cobb. Mark visited our church
in Tomball, Texas about 14 years ago and my dad was still alive and
got to talk with him. I ran across a picture of you and Charles, and
the 3 children on a Christmans Card. Also ran across a picture of
Bro. and Mrs. Frank Fort. My Dad died November 11, 1987 of leukemia,
my mom died July 2, 1996 with ALS.(A TERRIBLE WAY TO GO). When Mark
came to the church, we could relate to his stories, since a whole
lot of them probally took place in my Dad's Store. Give our best to

Baptist Church in Missouri and I know the importance of family support.
Without the support of my wife Cheryl and our son Josh, the life as
a bivo would be difficult. By the way, our 11 year old, Josh, thinks
the world of Mark and always likes to look at his web site.

I think you're a sweetheart. As one grammy to another, keep ministering
to the younger ones especially Titus 2:3-5. A favorite verse of mine
since 1981 when I got saved and our daughters were 3 and 5. I've been
a homemaker for all of these 26 years, PTL. We've done without some
things, but things are not important! There have been lots of loud
words and struggles. Now our daughter and grandson just moved out
of our house and we are re-discovering just being a couple, and quite
a lot of crying over the little angel being so far away (they're in
Colorado). Please pray for us all that they will be able to move back
(they want to.)Anyway, the Lord bless and keep you and Mark and all
of your family, especially those precious grandchildren - how many
are there? Lovely!! What a blessing! You do not look like a mom who
would ever hit someone on the back of the head until they spit...No
way! Maybe someday I'll share some pictures of our angels with you!
Both of our daughters have two year olds! I know just one thing your
site doesn't have (it's really special and filled with love - thanks)
It doesn't have a neat recipe. What are some of your specialties?
I could trade you...In the love of the Lord. Pray for me, maybe I'll
see if our little town's fire dept. has one of those cameras. How
neat that this modern technology can do such a special; life-saving
job! Until we meet on the other side. Karen Griffin. AKA Grammy.

I saw Mark with my Mom and Dad tonight. He was terrific. You should
be very proud to have such a talented son. My Mom adores him and was
thrilled to hear that he is single. She keeps trying to find a man
that can put up with me.

Bev, As I wrote in my e-mail earlier this year, I am so glad I
found you!! We are enjoying your CDs and tapes so much -- they are
almost worn out already! You truly have blessed our lives. We enjoy
Mark so much. He is truly a gifted person and your love, patience
and training really shows (even when he "acts up"). You both are very
special to us. I'm looking forward to you having another CD sometime
soon.

killing him I'll never figure out

I am glad to find information about Mark's mom. He is such a blessing
and such a nut! It is wonderful to know that his parents love the
Lord and are serving them too. I am from a third genereration of home

generations of Christian families with such special gifts! Thank you
for loving the Lord, and teaching Mark and the rest of your family
